Chef Pat Louangraj, was raised in Laos,
but migrated to the northern province of Chang Mai before settling
here over 20 years. She has been with the restaurant practically since
it opened. The strong spicy flavors so prevalent in Thai cuisine have
been toned down to accommodate tamer Western tastes, so if you like it
hot, just tell your server! |

"The Mee Krob ... a
layered mix of taste sensations - crispy rice vermicelli noodles in
a tart sauce with chewy shrimp, chicken and bean sprouts - this
changing variety of tastes and textures is something to enjoy
between hot bites. I was impressed by the variety of seafood on the
menu. The meal's highlight from the Thai Specialties section was the
Cashewnut Basil Chicken, which came stir-fried in black soy sauce
with onion and fresh basil. Its flavors seemed perfectly balance
between the tender bits of chicken, accented by the crunchiness of
the cashews and gentle aroma of Thai basil." Honolulu Weekly, May
