Picaditas Veracruzanas- Two picaditas topped with red sauce, queso fresco, onion, and grilled shrimp, 5.95

Queso Fundido Tamiahua- Mexican cheese fondue with wild mushrooms escabeche and your choice of chorizo or chicken. Served on a hot sizzling plate and a side of tortillas, 7.95

Pedro's Ostiones Almendrados- Six almond crusted oysters crisped to perfection. Just like Pedro's mom used to make. Served with Huasteco cream sauce, 7.95

Quesadilla de Queso y Espinaca- Flour tortillas stuffed with melted cheese and spinach. Served with guacamole, Pico de Gallo, and sour cream, 6.95  add chicken or beef, 1.50  add shrimp, 2.50

Emilio's Quesadilla Tolteca- Flour tortilla filled with cheese, squash, mushrooms, onion, epazote, jalapeno, and black beans, 7.95

Jarochitas- Sometimes called "Mexican Egg Rolls". Deep fried flour tortillas stuffed with cheese, chicken, and tart spinach. Served with Huasteco cream sauce. Very Yummy! 7.95

 

 

Roberto's Desert Soup- A unique balance of cactus, squash, beans, hominy, corn, onions, chilies, cheese, cumin, epazote, tomato, and crispy corn chips. Small, 5.95  Large, 8.95- served with arroz.

Sopa de Atlahua- Atlahua is the mythical Aztec god of fishermen and lakes. This Gulf of Mexico-style bouillabaisse combining fish, shrimp, calamari, scallops, and fresh vegetables is a fisherman's delight! Small, 7.95  Large, 12.95- served with arroz.

 

 

Cactus Salad of the Desert- A generous bed of baby greens, cactus, corn, tomato, and mango. Served with a side of Epazote Vinaigrette, 8.50  for chicken, add 1.50  for shirmp, add 2.50

Ensalada de la Huerta- Garden Salad with baby greens, tomato, and queso fresco. Choice of homemade Huasteco dressing or Epazote Vinaigrette, 4.50

Boca Del Rio- Baby greens, chicken breast, and shrimp. Choice of our homemade Huasteco dressing or Epazote Vinaigrette, 11.50

Pipian- An ancient and exotic favorite throught Veracruz. A chicken breast grilled to perfection then topped with Pipian (pumpkin seed sauce with epazote). Served with rice, salad, and a side of

tortillas, 11.95

Mixiotes de Pollo- The Huastecan art of Northern Mayan people which consisted of wrapping pieces of marinated dark meat chicken in banana leaves with a sauce made of holy tribal spices, guajillo and ancho chilles, and fresh herbs. Served with black beans, rice, and garnish, 11.95

Pechuga Catemaco- Catemaco, Veracruz is known as "The City of Spiritual Healers". For ages and ages, the spicy sauce (or Potion) used on this grilled chicken breast has been thought to bring forth good luck and a healthy stomach. Served with rice and calabacitas, 11.95

Pollo Carnaval- A grilled chicken breast topped with queso fundido, mushrooms escabeche, and pickled jalapenos. Served with our delicious Mexican rice and a salad. Mucho Fesive! 11.95

Mayan Chicken Breast- A breaded chicken breast marinated in Mayan spices. Served with Huesteco cream sauce, calabacitas, and papas olmecas. 11.50

Mole Xiqueno- The small town of Xico, Veracruz has the reputation for creating the best moles in Mexico. We were delighted to read that our homemade Mole Xiqueno also receieved high marks by the local press. This exotic mole is served atop of a chicken breast and complimented with a side of mixed vegetables and our delicious rice, 13.50

 

 

Carne Texolo- Sirloin Asado served with two chicken enchiladas topped with queso fresco, fried plantain, black beans, and garnish, 12.50

Carne Asada Veracruzana- Grilled sirloin topped with Salsa Roja de Veracruz. Served with chiliquiles, black beans, and garnish, 12.50

Cecina- Marinated sirloin served with two gorditas stuffed with cheese, onion, black beans, and red sauce. Also served with rice and black beans, 12.50

Steak Carnaval- Sirloin Asado topped with queso fundido, mushrooms escabeche, and pickled jalapenos. Served with our delicious Mexican rice and a salad. Mucho Festive! 12.50  for extra festivities, add grilled shimp- 2.50

 

 

Adobo de Puerco- Moist cubes of Pork topped with a thick spicy red sauce made of tomato, ancho and chili seco. Served with papas olmecas, black beans, and garnish, 11.50

Lomo Norteno- Pork loin marinated in Mayan spices and Huasteco sauce. Served with chiliquiles and black beans, 11.50

 

 

Tilapia Almendrada- Almond crusted Tilapia served with papas olmecas, mixed vegetables, and garnish, 14.95

Camarones Enchipatiados- Eight grilled shrimp topped with chipotle sauce. Served with rice, calabacitas, and garnish, 12.95

Pescado Xanath- Tilapia fillet stuffed with shrimp and crab. Served with two Pipian chicken enchiladas, black beans, and garnish, 16.95

Red Snapper Veracruzana- Pan-seared Red Snapper topped with Salsa de Veracruz. Served with rice and mixed vegetables, 15.95

 

 

Enchiladas Suizas- Three blue corn enchiladas stuffed with marinated chicken. Topped with a salsa de tomate, queso fundido, and cream sauce. Served with rice, black beans, and garnish, 10.50

Enchiladas Huastecas- Three blue corn enchiladas topped with Huasteco red sauce and queso fresco. Served with rice, black beans, and garnish, 8.95  For chicken or steak asada, add 1.50  For shrimp, add 2.50 

Enchiladas Mexicanitas- Three blue corn chicken enchiladas in red sauce topped with fresh white cheese and sliced onion. Served with rice, black beans, and garnish, 9.95

Enchiladas del Jardin- Three veggie blue corn enchiladas topped with salsa de tomate, and queso fresco. Served with rice, black beans and garnish, 9.95

Pipian Enchiladas- Three chicken blue corn tortillas topped with pipian. Served with papas olmecas, black beans, and garnish, 9.95
